Ali Masood is a Certified Public Accountant with over twenty years of experience spanning corporate finance, FP&A, treasury, audit, and systems implementation. His career includes senior roles at Ernst & Young, Steel Partners, and ModusLink — giving him rare breadth across Big Four assurance, large-cap corporate finance, and operational transformation.
What sets Ali apart is his entrepreneurial mindset. Not content to advise from the sidelines, he co-founded gaapRT Inc. — an AI-assisted accounting platform designed to modernize GAAP research and technical accounting workflows. In building it, he taught himself full-stack software development, gaining hands-on expertise in ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, AWS, and modern development tooling.
The platform earned recognition from Andreessen Horowitz and Nyca Partners and was funded by the University of Chicago — a testament to the credibility of both the idea and its founder.
